Over the years teaching and sharing meditation, I’ve come to appreciate that meditation often requires a different approach for women. Many women begin a meditation practice and quickly find themselves frustrated as they are met with intense feelings, lots of thoughts and energetic baggage. Through offering an embodied experience of meditation, women can more playfully find a doorway to experiencing greater ease and peace in daily life.
Women are innately attuned to taking care of the needs of the family and greater community before themselves. In a world of increasing stress, anxiety, disconnection and depression, women require space to meet themselves with love, kindness and acceptance. Often the most challenging step in our culture is self-permission to slow down, and create space to be.
Embodied meditation aims to support sensitive women to grow a relationship with their inner self. You may notice that these sensitivities show up as daily overwhelm, over-reactivity and indecision. Ease comes when you feel safe to embrace your feminine experience (shifting energies, hormones and desires). Through awakening intuition and sensory awareness, this class can open women to a life of increasing beauty and deeper meaning.

EMBODIED MEDITATION FOR WOMEN ~ 6 Week Class
Facilitated over six weeks, Embodied Meditation for Women offers a welcoming space to experience meditation as an intuitive and engaging practice. Grounded in feminine wisdom, together we explore an array of practices to ease stress, cultivate self-kindness and gather conscious tools to navigate everyday life.
The classes can be enjoyed by beginners or experienced meditation students – all women who desire a heartfelt connection with themselves. Attendance over six weeks will support you to intuitively establish a practice that embraces your unique essence. From here awakening awareness can be nurtured, and stress and imbalance can naturally dissipate.
Together we explore meditative practices that support the nervous system toward balance, the mind toward stillness and the heart toward openness:
- Grounding, diaphragmatic breathing and the central nervous system
- Body awareness and gentle, mindful movement
- Sound meditation and play
- Feminine cyclical wisdom (life, seasonal, lunar, menstrual cycles)
- Heart opening meditation
- The Awake Method as a framework for connecting with body wisdom
- Deep rest and self-reflection
Women naturally become more creative following periods of deep rest.
